Resumes:
- Remember, you’re telling a story – a very important story – about your work life. Let it show a little of your personality and your enthusiasm.
- Highlight the relevant experience you have for the job you want. Tailor the resume to that particular job.
- Be specific about the work you’ve done. Show the results of projects you’ve worked on and the success stories.
- Keep it short. Add some details, but not too many, especially if they won’t be useful to the job you’re seeking.
- Be positive. You’ve accomplished much in your past work experience, and we’d like to see that pride.
- Be prompt for your interview.
- Be prepared.
- Be courteous.
- Make eye contact.
- Have a firm handshake.
- Listen carefully.
- Be clear about what value you would bring to the company and the job.
- Be honest with the company.
- Be honest with yourself and ask yourself ‘is this really the right job for me?’
- Thank those you interview with for their time and the opportunity to meet them.
