Henry Scherck joins Diversified Search Odgers Berndtson
Diversified Search Odgers Berndtson is pleased to announce that Henry J. (Terry) Scherck III has joined the firm as Managing Director and head of its Life Sciences Practice, and will be based in its Chicago office. Diversified is recognized for delivering high quality consultative senior-level executive search services and corporate Board searches to clients ranging from smaller privately-held firms and not-for-profits to some of the world’s largest public companies.
In 2008, Scherck was recognized by Business Week as one of “The World's Most Influential Headhunters.” He has over twenty years of search experience in the areas of general management, strategy development, marketing and sales leadership and consulting services. He has recruited senior executives in the pharmaceutical, biotech and device industries for a range of positions including chairman of the board, president, chief executive officer and chief financial officer.
Scherck was most recently Managing Director of the Life Sciences & Healthcare Practice at Slayton Search Partners. Prior to that, he was the Global Leader of A. T. Kearney’s Healthcare/Life Sciences Practice Group and a senior member of its Board of Directors Practice. He also served on its Executive Committee. Before entering executive search, Scherck’s career included more than fifteen years in the pharmaceutical and consumer products industries as a senior executive with Bristol Myers Squibb, Guerlain, SA and Warner Communications (Cosmair).
Scherck received an MBA from The Wharton Graduate School of Business, University of Pennsylvania, and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Princeton University. He is a member of the Board of Trustees of Princeton’s Cap & Gown Club.
