Albany Group's China presence in Shanghai
Global contingent workforce management company Albany has extended its footprint to provide services in China. With the move, Albany has acquired a coveted HR Human Resource Management and Deployment licence, which enables it to render its services compliantly in China. Albany will bring across its service standards, which it is renowned for globally, into its service delivery in the rapidly expanding market.
“Our new presence in Shanghai provides Albany a strategic position within China’s contingent labour market,” said Harry Loh, regional director for Albany Asia-Pacific. “Outsourcing the management of their temporary labour and staffing suppliers enables our clients to focus on their core competencies.”
Albany will offer contingent workforce management and HR consulting services, as well as recruitment process outsourcing to those companies wishing to enter the Chinese market as well as those already established there.
The contingent workforce and talent management market in China is relatively small but is growing rapidly. Companies using staffing companies or contract/temporary workers in China face deep regulation, and effectively, government control. Missteps can results in heavy fines. Albany offloads the risk for its clients as it ensures they meet all China labour laws and regulations.
